To add a physical item as an equivalent item, either type in the item number in the Item Number field and press the <Tab> key, or click the Query Physical Items link and drag the physical item from the search results onto the Equivalent Items topic.

To add a configured serial item as an equivalent item, first you must add a physical item as an equivalent item that has associated Dependent Serialized Items.

1. Expand the [+] sign to the left of the Priority column.

   The configured serial items display.

   
2. Select a configured serial item, and then click the Add As Configured Serial link.

   Step 1 of the As Configured Wizard opens.

   
   Note: You must have a serial item associated with the Primary Physical Item to configure a serial item.
3. Select the serial number for the Primary Physical Item from the Primary Item Serials drop-down list, and then click Next.

   Step 2 of the As Configured Wizard opens.

   
4. Select the service values, and then click Finish.

The As Configured topic displays the installed serial item.
